Physiotherapist Mentorship

Ready to elevate your practice?

The Physiotherapist Mentorship Program is offered to practitioners, students, and community members. When we begin a physiotherapy practice, we are excited to find our rhythm, create our systems, and build successful therapeutic relationships with clients. Once we are comfortable with the basics, we may think “what next - how do I take my practice to the next level?” We may have specific questions that are not being addressed in the traditional course setting. I can help you by providing tailored, private or semi-private mentoring.

I am an orthopaedic and pelvic health physiotherapist with 30 years of clinical experience. I am also an educator, having learned from and taught courses in both orthopaedics and pelvic health, presenting my own curriculum and the curriculum of others. I have taught internationally in Canada, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. My graduate studies focused on health professional education and global health. I have acted as a peer assessor and peer coach with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. I have mainly worked as a sole proprietor during the course of my career.

I have amassed some interesting skills and knowledge that may be of help to you as your practice evolves. Here are some ideas on what we could integrate into your mentorship program:

  • Orthopaedic and/or pelvic health specific knowledge, skills and clinical reasoning

  • Therapeutic program development and progressions

  • Exercise strategies and progressions: ideas, handouts and resources

  • Solo practice set-up and/ or business development

  • Developing and marketing workshops and programs

  • Preparation for College peer assessments (Ontario)

I love teaching! I will be happy to help tailor a mentoring program to help you achieve your specific goals.
